Cameras all around and plenty of screaming fans entered the gymnasium as we prepared for our first football game of the season. Many alumni's, teachers, and other staff were also in attendance. Since I was a Freshman and it was finally time to cheer in front of a lot of people, I seemed to be more excited than anything. The excitement was real! The football team was so hype as the heavyset man on the microphone called out their names one by one. GO! GO! GO! GET IT! When everyone name was called, the football team bulldozed in the middle of the gym floor like wild animals. The fans joined in to help prepare the football team for their first football game. People were everywhere.
Cheerleaders, majorettes, pom squad, and flag girls also had to be called out and perform a routine for the crowd. I was so anxious for the cheerleaders to go. Performance by a famous rapper, majorettes, and the pom squad had already went. Now it was time for us. We all lined up in a single file line and patiently waited as they called each of our names. When my name was called I dashed across the floor hollering and screaming, and as I came to the middle I gave the fans a wide glowing smile and topped it off with an amazing high toe touch.
All the cheerleaders were on the floor, and it was now time for the cheer performance. LETS GO, LETS GO TIGERS! Hitting every cheer position, you would've thought I was a pro. Well, at least I did. But then something happened. The most embarrassing moment of all time. As we crossed the floor while we were cheering, another cheer member ran smack into me and I fell in front of the WHOLE gym. The cheerleaders were still going, but it seemed as though every eye was on me. All the laughter I heard made my eyes water. Oh wow, I was so embarrassed.
I got up as fast as I could, but they were near the end of the cheer performance. When it was finally over, all the cheerleaders ran off the floor. Everyone came running up to me saying, "Hahahaha I saw you fall girl." Mad as ever on the inside, I managed to laugh at myself because it was kind of funny. All the fans, staff, and most importantly the football team saw me fall. That was so embarrassing, but I laughed it off with everyone else. Sometimes I wonder, "Hummm, did the cameras catch that."

Oh no! I probably would have cried! But better to get the embarrassment out of the way...something like that is bound to happen sometime!
